Yes, Audi gets it. Big time. Storytelling awesomeness complete with engagement (i.e., pulling in user-generated content). Every major brand should look at this as the new bar. Get the user to connect with your story, with the characters. Give them something to gain, something to lose. Give them conflict. Make that connection and people will be lining up to get the damn car. This kind of dynamic marketing is the future of connecting to customers in a noisy, noisy world…and a good slap in the face to traditional advertising. They can leverage this in so many different ways through follow-on digital campaigns. But it SETS THE TONE AND CONNECTION. So now they can embrace transmedia storytelling, build apps, create microsites, develop content…and continue the story. Take notes people.
